Can cats eat soy milk?

Avoid

Lactose-free, but sugary, full of additives and offers cats nothing.

Don't.

Why

Plant milks usually contain sugar, flavourings and stabilisers; almond milk adds nut fat. There's almost nothing in them a cat needs.

If your cat has a condition

  • Kidney disease Avoid No specific data — follow the overall verdict.
  • Diabetes Avoid Mostly sugar or starch — skip it for diabetic cats. Carbs 50% of calories
  • Heart disease (HCM) Avoid Low in salt. Sodium 300 mg/1000kcal
  • Urinary stones Avoid No specific stone concern known — water intake matters more.
