Can cats eat sago palm?

Dangerous

A single seed can cause liver failure — extremely dangerous.

If your cat ate it

Signs
Vomiting, diarrhea (possibly bloody), drooling, lethargy, later jaundice, bleeding, seizures
When
15 minutes to hours; liver failure in 2–3 days
What to do now
Go to a vet immediately — decontamination and liver support are needed even without symptoms.

Don't.

Why

Cycasin in sago palm destroys the liver. Seeds are the most toxic but every part is dangerous, and mortality is high even with treatment.

If your cat has a condition

Dangerous for every cat, with or without a health condition.
