Can cats eat raw egg?

Avoid

Salmonella risk, and raw white blocks biotin — cooked, it's a good treat.

Cook it (see cooked egg).

Why

Raw eggs can carry Salmonella and E. coli, and avidin in raw white binds biotin, causing skin and coat problems with frequent feeding. Cooking fixes both.

If your cat has a condition

  • Urinary stones Avoid No specific stone concern known — water intake matters more.
