Can cats eat cow's milk?

Avoid

Most adult cats can't digest lactose and get diarrhea — use lactose-free cat milk instead.

Skip it; offer a little lactose-free cat milk instead.

Why

After weaning, lactase declines, so most adult cats get diarrhea or bloating from milk. The milk-drinking cat is a storybook image. If your cat loves it, use lactose-free cat milk as a treat.
