Can cats eat ibuprofen & nsaids?

Dangerous

Human anti-inflammatory painkillers cause stomach ulcers and acute kidney failure.

If your cat ate it

Signs
Vomiting (possibly bloody), black stool, appetite loss, later reduced urine
When
Hours to 3 days
What to do now
Go to a vet now with the drug name and strength.

Don't.

Why

Human NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen cause GI bleeding and kidney injury in cats, and cats clear aspirin very slowly. Only use vet-prescribed pain relief.

If your cat has a condition

Dangerous for every cat, with or without a health condition.
