Meat & eggs

Can cats eat egg (cooked)?

OK to give

Fully cooked egg is a good protein treat — no oil or salt.

How much

Up to per day 14g about 0.3 pieces · 1 boiled egg ≈ 50 g

4 kg adult cat, treats ≤10% of ~200 kcal/day

PreparationHard-boiled or cooked without oil, chopped.

Why

Highly digestible protein. Cooking removes Salmonella risk and the raw-white biotin issue. The yolk is fatty, so keep portions small.

If your cat has a condition

  • Urinary stones OK to give No specific stone concern known — water intake matters more.
