Can cats eat corn?

A little

A few cooked kernels are fine — the cob can block the intestine.

How much

Up to per day 5g about 13 pieces · 1 kernel ≈ 0.4 g

4 kg adult cat, treats ≤10% of ~200 kcal/day

PreparationCooked kernels only.

Why

Kernels aren't toxic but are mostly starch. A chewed cob can cause an intestinal blockage needing surgery. Skip buttered, salted corn.
