Can cats eat cooked bones?

Avoid

Cooked bones splinter into sharp pieces that injure the mouth, gullet and gut.

Don't; bin bones in a lidded container.

Why

Cooking makes bones brittle so they shatter into sharp shards. Chicken bones and fish bones can lodge in or pierce the gullet or intestine and may need surgery. Raiding the kitchen bin is a common cause.
