Can cats eat chicken liver?

A little

A cooked piece is a great treat, but too much too often causes vitamin A excess.

How much

Up to per day 5g about 1 pieces · 1 thumb-tip piece ≈ 5 g

4 kg adult cat, treats ≤10% of ~200 kcal/day

PreparationCooked, small pieces, not daily.

Why

Liver is extremely rich in vitamin A; making it a large part of the diet over time can cause hypervitaminosis A, with bony growths that stiffen the neck and joints. A small piece a few times a week is fine.
