Can cats eat avocado?

Avoid

Low toxicity for cats, but fatty, the pit is a hazard and guacamole contains onion/garlic.

Don't.

Why

Persin in avocado is mainly toxic to birds, rabbits and horses and less so to cats, but the fat can trigger vomiting, diarrhea or pancreatitis, and the pit can block the gut. Guacamole adds onion and garlic.

If your cat has a condition

  • Urinary stones Avoid No specific stone concern known — water intake matters more.
