Heart Health Formula (PetDomain, ex-ThorneVet)

A trusted brand's 11-ingredient blend — and why it must be judged ingredient by ingredient
Unestablished Pet product

BOTTOM LINE

The brand's quality control (NASC) deserves credit — but no ingredient carries HCM-grade evidence, and most amounts fall short of studied doses.

Coming from Thorne's pet line (now PetDomain), the brand-trust question earns a generous answer. The other question — "does this blend help feline hearts?" — finds none of the 11 ingredients carrying HCM-grade evidence. The amounts sharpen the picture: per 1g scoop, taurine 140mg is a meaningful feline dose, but carnitine 140mg (dog DCM studies used grams) and CoQ10 20mg (human studies use 100–300mg) are symbolic, and magnesium 500mcg / potassium 100mcg are decorative. The herbs — hawthorn, arjuna — are extrapolations from human tradition and small trials. See the taurine, carnitine and ubiquinol cards for each ingredient's full story.
