Why compare on the same basis?

Dry food is around 10% water and cans 75–80%. Comparing label percentages makes canned food look much lower in protein and phosphorus, but cats eat to their calorie needs, so what they actually take in is best compared per 1000 kcal. These calculators do that conversion.
